What is Love?

What is love? The dictionary’s definition for love is, an intense feeling of deep affection. The Bible says that we should love one another just as Christ does. In 1 John 3:16 it says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” Jesus Christ died on the cross for each and every one of us because He loves us so very much. We need to have unconditional love for each other just like Jesus does. No matter what we do, for better or for worse, Jesus will always have a love for us that no one in the whole entire universe can take away or destroy.

  1. James Amaro says:

Amen Absolutely true, Love is a very important. Love will prevent you from doing a lot of things a person without love will do. If you don’t love your brother, sister, wife or God, You will easily cheat, steal, lie and hurt those who Love you. With LOVE you demolish all the negativity that is attached to a person without Love. What also coincides with this is the Greatest Commandment, which is Matthew 22:37-40 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Following these commandments will bring you to farther and to greater places, because people put things in front of God, Relationships, Marriages, children, money ect, and wonder why things aren’t going the way things should. Loving God above all is what Love is.
